Tyler Geis

Tyler Geis is a filmmaker who grew up and currently resides in western Massachusetts. From a young age, Tyler always had a passion for storytelling and always had a knack for being creative. Throughout highschool, he dabbled in visual arts but it wasn’t until he attended Springfield Technical Community College in 2008, where he enrolled in the video and film production program, that his passion for filmmaking began to spark.

Shortly after he graduated, he began re-writing scripts he had secretly written when he was very young. After dropping out of a Bachelors program at Westfield State University, Tyler began getting work on movie set after movie set and gaining a reputation locally and regionally.

In 2012, he went to work on his debut as a writer/director on the film, "The Station", a comedy/drama about two best friends parting ways after working a shift at the local gas station. The film was a critical and commercial success in the New England Film Market. Shortly before it’s release, he launched a small production company, Ryan Road Films, named after the neighborhood he grew up in.

Off the coat tails of success with The Station, Tyler jumped on board with the short film, “Melvin”, which was created by David Shattuck and fellow producer, Christopher Carantit. With Melvin coming close to finished, Tyler looks for more opportunities to advance his carrier in the film industry and new ways to perfect his craft as a filmmaker.
